Change Team:

GLBR and Travel Teams, The Right Stuff

GLBR is looking for travel teams each season, and this Fall will be no exception. GLBR works with NVTBL to add games for travel teams, provides local practice fields and provides assistance to travel clubs throughout the season.

Last Spring we had 6 travel clubs in our 13-YO division and 4 in our 14-YO division. The travel clubs played Babe Ruth sanctioned games between the other travel clubs in their division and we added games with NVTBL opponents to provide the clubs with a full schedule.

The Spring season was very successful for those travel clubs who joined up with us. We've had nothing but positive comments from the managers and coaches about how their affiliation with GLBR went. The league is very pleased to be able to provide these teams with the right stuff to have such successful seasons and we look forward to having them return for the Fall or Spring seasons.

Registration costs are the same for all players, whether they are on a travel team or playing in the house divisions. Managers and coaches are required to pass the Babe Ruth Coaching certification (www.baberuthcoaching.org), just like our house managers/coaches. Aside from these registration and certifications, there are no additional costs associated with the team's participation that season. The league provides each team with a web page on our site, and statistics can be maintained there in addition to photos. Game balls are also provided by GLBR.

There are some restrictions, the most important of which is that all players must be residents of Loudoun County, with a physical address. No PO Boxes are allowed. Player's age group qualification is based on their age as of April 30, 2013

Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth's mission is to provide a high-quality program for all players in Loudoun County. Any travel clubs interested in learning more about our program is encouraged to contact Tim Owen, VP.
