Questions arise from time to time regarding District Team play. Those questions will be added to this FAQ page as they are brought to the attention of the Board. Email
with your questions.
Q: I turned 15 on June 3rd, do I play in the 15u age group?
A: The magic date for all age calculations during any season is April 30. Whatever age a player is as of midnight, May 1st is the age that player is for the Spring and post-season play. In this situation, the player is "baseball age" 14 and would qualify for either the 14u or 13-15u District team.
Q: Are Travel Team players eligible for District Teams?
A: Yes, any player currently registered with GLBR for the current Spring season is eligible to try out for the District team.
Q: I play on the high school team, and can't make all the regular season games my GLBR team plays. How many games do I have to play in to be eligible for post-season play?
A: Players who compete in a minimum of half of their regularly scheduled League team games are eligible for post-season play on the District team.
Q: Are there any additional costs for District Team play.
A: Yes, there is an incremental cost for District Team play, but it is only a fraction of the season cost for significantly more game/play time making it a great deal.
